    He never took a bath because he didn't want to be caught unarmed.
    Much of his life is shrouded in mystery and legend.
    He has a long birth name!
    He contracted eczema at infancy, which shaped his appearance.
    His duel record is in question since most Samurai RARELY record their losses.

    The name Musashi came from a warrior monk of a similar name who used 9 weapons.
    He adopted a child.
    He founded his own martial arts school.
    He is a pop-culture icon in Japan.
    In fact, he was portrayed by Toshiro Mifune in a movie.
