Because his older brothers had already taken up the guitar and the drums, he was left to be the bassist.
He has done little in front of the cameras for a long time.

He didn't seem to object having to learn bass.
He was co-producer of the Court TV documentary 'The Secret History of Rock & Roll' hosted by Gene Simmons.
His children, for the most part, have stayed out of show biz.
He co-produced several online TV programs.
