The Resume

    (1969-2004)
    Located in Montreal, Quebec, Canada
Former and current Expos include Bill Stoneman, Ross Grimsley, Tony Perez, Gary Carter, Andre Dawson, Pedro Martinez, Larry Walker, Moises Alou, Jose Vidro, Vladimir Guerrero, Livan Hernandez
    Three retired numbers include Gary Carter's #8, Rusty Staub's #10 and Andre Dawson's #10
Negotiated a deal to move the team to Washington D.C. for 2005

Why they might be annoying:

They were named after Expos '67, the World's Fair that was held in 1967.
Rusty Staub and Andre Dawson both played with the number 10 and both had their numbers retired.
Although having home field advantage during the 1981 National League Championship Series and being a game away from their first trip to the World Series they lost to the Dodgers when Ricky Monday hit a game-winning, ninth-inning home run.
Many players dread having to play in Montreal because of the turf.
Thanks to the Expos not scoring a single run, Pedro Martinez's perfect game bid was sent into the 10th inning where he ended up giving a lead-off double to Bip Roberts.
Former owner Jeffrey Loria sold the team in 2002 so that he could buy the Florida Marlins.
They played some of their home games in San Juan, Puerto Rico during the 2003 season.
They average a couple of thousand people for home games.
Many have referred to Vladimir Guerrero as a diamond in the rough.

Why they might not be annoying:

They won their first game 11-10 against the Mets.
Bill Stoneman no-hit the Philadelphia Phillies two-weeks into the Expos' inaugural season.
They recorded their first triple-play in their inaugural season.
Bill Gullickson set out a team record by striking out 18 Chicago Cubs in 1980.
The first All Star Game held outside of the United States was held in their Montreal home, Olympic Stadium (1982).
Many feel that they would've won the 1994 World Series had it not been for the players strike.
They entered the new millennium with two of the best young players, Jose Vidro and Vladimir Guerrero.
