Why Lidsville might be annoying:

It resembled a bad acid trip, even more so than other Krofft shows.
It featured endless hat related puns. (Hoodoo demands that the Lidsvillians pay him their Hat Checks; music is provided by the Hat Band; etc.)
Reilly's performance here made his appearances on Match Game look sedate.
The Chroma-Key based special effects have not held up well.
The second season consisted entirely of reruns of the first season's episodes.

Why Lidsville might not be annoying:

It lived up to the theme song: it really was 'the koo-koo-kookiest.'
It has a cult following.
It was ripped off by the British for the claymation series 'Hattytown Tales' (1980).
