Basketball Player

The Resume

Why he might be annoying:

    His middle name is Keithflen.
Despite being considered a top prospect, he was traded by the Clippers weeks after he was drafted by the team.
He played two separate stints with both the Nuggets and Suns.
He verbally agreed to sign with the Nuggets, but had second thoughts about it and contemplated a return to the Suns instead (1999).
His decision was influenced by Nuggets GM Dan Issel, who took him to an Avalanche game, where he received an autographed goalie stick from Patrick Roy as part of the team's recruiting pitch.
It was reported a group of Suns players, led by Jason Kidd travelled to Denver in the midst of a snowstorm to try and sway him to re-sign with Phoenix, but Issel went as far as telling arena security not to allow them into the venue as a way to seal the pitch. He agreed to the Nuggets deal hours later, despite the fact he got badly lowballed.
He struggled to stay healthy following his second departure from the Nuggets.
He never made a playoff appearance with the Nuggets in both stints with the team.

Why he might not be annoying:

He led Alabama in scoring and rebounding during his final season.
He dodged two major bullets early in his NBA career by not playing for a horrendous Clipper team in the mid 1990's, nor the infamous 1997-98 Nuggets team.
He admitted after his playing career ended that his decision to return to the Nuggets in free agency was one he regretted.
He served as the Nuggets team captain during his second stint with the club.
He was a member of the United States men's basketball team that won a Gold Medal at the Sydney Olympics (2000).
