The Resume

    (April 4, 1959- )
    Born in Connell, Washington
Birth name is Clinton Bradley Didier
Tight end for the Washington Redskins (1981-87) and the Green Bay Packers (1988-89)
Drafted 314th overall by the Redskins in the 12th round of the 1981 NFL Draft
    Two-time Super Bowl Champion (1982, 1987)

Why he might be annoying:

He's not a career politician, but he would be if he won any of the four major races he ran in.
He gave speeches in Tea Party soundbites.
For example, lamenting about how 'rugged individualism, self-reliance and personal responsibility' will be supplanted by a 'Marxist utopia.'
When confronted about accepting thousands in federal subsidies, he claimed that he’d no longer accept them - including federal disaster aid.
On gay marriage, he said 'I am not willing to throw out 4,000 years of core traditional marriage to assuage the wishes of a few.'

Why he might not be annoying:

He was a 12th-round draft pick who made two Super Bowl appearances (scoring a touchdown in the second).
He was inducted into the Tri-Cities [Washington] Sports Hall of Fame in 2001.
When his football career ended in 1990, he returned home and bought a farm not far from his parents’ property.
He coached his local high-school football team and led them to a state championship.
He finally won a political race - for County Commissioner, in 2018.
