Why she might be annoying:

After she had a bad breakup with her ex-boyfriend, she wrote songs about it.
She performed background vocals for a B2K song (2002).
In a lot of her songs, she mentions drunks and alcohol and she says that half the bar life is observation.
She said she used to hang out with drunks.

Why she might not be annoying:

She began playing violin at five and she continued to play it through her early teens.
Her family moved overseas, so her only connection to North American music was her older brother's record collection, which consisted of Bob Dylan, Neil Young and Tom Petty.
She's a huge ice hockey fan.
After high school, she moved back to Ottawa and sang and played guitars in local clubs.
She helped promote shows for other under-rated musicians.
She has been compared to Aimee Mann, Shawn Colvin and Lucinda Williams.
She is said to have a beautiful, classic old-soul voice.
