    Alex Band, vocals/guitarist (June 8, 1981- )
    Aaron Kamin, guitarist (August 10, 1977- )
    Billy Mohler, bassist (February 22, 1975- )
Nate Wood, drums and backing vocals (October 3, 1979- )
Sean Woolstenhulme, guitarist (March 1, 1981- ) left the group June 2002
Recorded 'Wherever You Will Go,' 'Adrienne,' 'Could It Be Any Harder' and 'Unstoppable'
Alex and Aaron met when Aaron was dating Alex's sister and Aaron found Alex's guitar.
Aaron ended up spending more time with Alex than his girlfriend (Alex's sister) so he broke up with her and continued playing with Alex.
Their first band consisted of a fifty-eight year old drummer and forty year old bassist.
The entire band's image is based around Alex.
Alex looks like and has the body of a woman.
Their audience tends to consist of mostly overweight teenage girls.
'Wherever You Will Go' was first played in Coyote Ugly, but the video wasn't made until years later (talk about a slow rising single).
Sean left The Calling to join his brother in Lifehouse to which Alex replied that ' Lifehouse was once a band I respected.'
They are often compared to Lifehouse in the fact that only two of the members write songs and the band is based around the looks of the lead singer.
Alex and Aaron had written over a 100 songs before they even released their first album.
They lived next door to a record executive and constantly asked him to listen to them. When he finally did, he gave them a record deal.
Nate and Billy have known each other since middle school.
