Why they might be annoying:

    Their name.
Their initial function was just to swoon over a crooning (usually a little inebriated) Dean Martin.
An entirely new group of girls were chosen after the first group resigned in protest over unfair treatment by executives.
When television work dried up they followed Dean Martin to Las Vegas, where they would indefinitely stay on in different forms.
Much information on IMDb, and other websites, regarding personnel lineups and chronology of their appearances, is inaccurate.

Why they might not be annoying:

    They sang in great harmony.
They managed to pull off tricky choreography while still looking like a million bucks.
They were basically the female counterpart to The Rat Pack.
They joined Bob Hope on his annual USO Christmas tours of U.S. military bases.
They attained marginal success in entertainment even without being attached to Dean Martin (in fact, there show was specifically devised as a summer placeholder for when Martin's show went on hiatus).
They continue to perform at events for charities to benefit women and children.
