Why he might be annoying:

His nickname is G-Money.
He was a journeyman player.
He was part of the NBA's largest bench-clearing brawl in a game against the Phoenix Suns and sucker punched guard Kevin Johnson (March 23, 1993).
This resulted the NBA giving him a five game suspension and a $20,500 fine for the incident.
As a sportscaster, his voice was very similar to the other ESPN analyst, Joe Morgan.

He was considered a very good defender.
