Why he might be annoying:

He describes himself as blunt and intense.
During the initial journey to the beach, he decided to get out of the canoe and swim, and was quickly left behind.
Along with Wanda Shirk, he was kicked out of the game without going to Tribal Council.
His family told him not to come back if he didn't win.

Why he might not be annoying:

He survived testicular cancer.
He was targeted by some other players for no reason.
He spent two years becoming a master sushi chef.
He teaches women's self defense courses.
He says his grandmother is his hero and the backbone of his family.
