Why he might be annoying:

He cried after he lost a high school tennis tournament to a 16 year old.
He was notorious for consuming excessive amounts of alcohol and having promiscuous sex.
He would often bring his German Shepherd to dine with him in fancy restaurants.
He often showed up to formal events barefooted and wearing blue jeans.
He was divorced twice and notoriously cheated on his wives.
He died hours after proposing to his girlfriend over the phone.
He had a notoriously volatile temper, which would often lead him to get fined for his outbursts.

Why he might not be annoying:

He played tennis, squash and cricket in his adolescent years before pursuing a career in racing.
When he was told his first racing vehicle was unsuitable for driving, he paid to make the necessary adjustments with his own money in order to race.
His larger than life personality made him a hit amongst Formula One fans worldwide.
Despite their competitive nature, he was good friends with Niki Lauda and Ronny Peterson.
He pursued a career in broadcasting following his retirement from racing.
He served as an inspiration to many aspiring race car drivers following his Formula One victory.
He was portrayed by Chris Hemsworth in the Ron Howard film 'Rush.'
