Why they might be annoying:

    The group members constantly changed.
They performed with pianist and music producer David Foster.
    They are a bit shticky.
They are most famous for their rendition of Leonard Cohen's 1983 song 'Hallelujah.'
Their performance of that song during an In Memoriam segment for the 2011 Primetime Emmys was deemed 'tacky' and 'listless' by many television critics.

Why they might not be annoying:

They performed 'O Canada' at the 2009 Grey Cup game.
The group has currently sold more than 120,000 albums around Canada, and nearly 30,000 copies around the U.S.
Their debut album peaked at number 48 on Billboard's 200 Album Chart.
Their rendition of 'Hallelujah' placed at number 99 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart in 2009.
