He kept his musical children on a brutal rehearsing and touring schedule.
He got rich exploiting their talents.

He blamed him for his wife’s death.
Wolfgang eventually stopped speaking to him.

Five of his seven children died.
Scholars consider him an underrated composer and important music historian.
His book on violin technique is still studied today.
His guidance helped make Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart one of the greatest composers who ever lived.
