Why he might be annoying:

Not only is he the oldest member of Celtic Thunder, he is also the member with the least amount of hair!
At his age, he could easily be Damian's father.
He can play the banjo.

Why he might not be annoying:

Prior to joining Celtic Thunder, he had an established music career.
His appreciation for Germany, where he has a very large fan base, and the German culture prompted him to learn their language.
He can also play the flute, mandolin and guitar.
With a wife and daughter, he is the family man of the group.
He is the only band member who comes from Scotland.
Because he was 40 at the band's inception, Celtic Thunder was able to avoid the dreaded 'boy band' label.
He obviously has no issues sharing the stage with a teenager.
