Why he might be annoying
He adopted blue as his band color after a race through a Sydney department store with Greg Page.
He is a fan of Julio Iglesias.
He admitted to ‘perhaps irrational but very real feelings of inadequacy and depression’ in the Cockroaches’ tours.
During a US tour in Boston, he somehow managed to injure himself on… a revolving door! (Must have been pretty bad to warrant 12 stitches on his snout.)
Tongue-in-cheek or not, a Daily Telegraph put out an article – with him as the central image on its Twitter page – calling for his retirement on grounds that he was a ‘desperate D-lister.’
Why he might not be annoying
He was born into a long line of musicians — especially the females.
His sister inspired him to go into Early Childhood Education, upon which he would spend some two years as a preschool teacher.
Following a meeting with two stateside chiropractors, he hired teams of chiropractors for the cast and band to keep them in shape for touring.
He named his boat for his daughter and wife (‘the Lucia and Miki,’ respectively).
The tattoos on his arms translate from the Spanish to ‘my life is in your hands,’ alongside a depiction of the Virgin Mary, and ‘my love, my heart,’ alongside a heart.
Whether nepotism or not, his children figured in more than one Wiggles clip.
