    Second baseman and shortstop for the Texas Rangers (2000-12) and the Philadelphia Phillies
    MLB All-Star Game MVP (2006)

    He likes playing golf.
    The Blue Jays didn't think too highly of him as a prospect.
    He frequently strikes out.
    Despite his numbers, he received little media exposure as a result of playing for the Rangers.

    He voluntarily relinquished his natural position of second base for shortstop to accommodate Alfonso Soriano.
    He established himself as an everyday player following his trade to Texas.
    He hit the game winning triple which helped the American League win the 2006 MLB All-Star Game in a comeback victory.
    He broke numerous Rangers club records during his first few years with the team.
    He became the first Ranger in 15 years to win the AL Batting Title (2005).
