Premise: A contemporary retelling of the Sherlock Holmes saga

In this series, Holmes was a recovering drug addict.
He often acts like a bumbling jerk around Dr. Watson.
Some people complain that the shift in setting from London to New York offsets true environment of the Holmes saga.
Others do not like that Dr. Watson is a woman in this adaptation.
The series has a burning rivalry with another Holmes series, 'Sherlock' on PBS.

It cast several familiar faces.
Many viewers like the change of setting of this Sherlock Holmes adaptation.
The tension between Holmes and Watson is often ridiculous, yet hilarious.
It was a ratings hit in its freshman season.
The title sequence and theme song is a feast for both the eyes and ears.
