Why they might be annoying:

They initially had such limited musical ability that Mick Jones had to tune their guitars for them.
Despite being a native Brit, Ari Up has an odd German-meets-Jamaican accent.
Ari Up was known for her wild hair and eccentric stage outfits.
They got into onstage fights with other bands.
Palmolive reportedly quit the band over their plans for the cover of their debut album, on which the group posed topless and covered in mud.

Why they might not be annoying:

Ari Up and Palmolive formed the band after meeting at a Patti Smith concert.
They opened for the Clash on the 'White Riot' tour (1977).
Pitchfork magazine said of 'Cut,' 'this album is terribly, terribly important in the history of rock music.'
The reunited version of the band includes Hollie Cook, daughter of Sex Pistols drummer Paul Cook.
