Why Family Feud might be annoying:

It was sexist, with host Richard Dawson pawing and slobbering over the female contestants.
There are rumors that he often did the show drunk.
After Dawson first left the show, it never found another truly popular host.
The show forced host Ray Combs out due to low ratings (he later committed suicide).
In desperation, it brought back Dawson, but he’d gotten so fat and old that the show failed anyway.
The rules of the game have mutated from year to year.
Contestants tend to overuse the banal phrase ‘Good answer! Good answer!’
It is the only thing keeping no-talent Richard Karn from total obscurity (2005).

Why Family Feud might not be annoying:

The concept is simple and accessible for all ages.
Richard Dawson’s theatrical, possibly drunken style made the show popular.
Contestants often panic and give hilarious wrong answers (examples: ‘Name something worn only by children.’ ‘Clothes!’ ‘Name an animal whose eggs you’d never eat.’ ‘Hamster!’ etc).
It won Daytime Emmys for Best Game Show and Best Game Show Host (Dawson).
It has had episodes featuring ‘Playboy’ Playmates.
It is one of the most popular game shows in TV history.
Its official Website has the balls to describe Richard Karn as ‘one of television’s most loved comic actors.’
