Why they might be annoying:

They are stuck in the '60s.
They are not athletic.
Trying to be like Beanie Babies, they retire certain flavors.
Among the flavors retired are Cool Britannia (1999), Rainforest Crunch (1999), Coffee Coffee, Buzz, Buzz, Buzz (2000), Everything but the... (2000), Monkey Wrench (2000), Pulp Addiction (2000), Butter Almond Toffee (2001), Dilbert's World Totally Nuts (2001) and Double Trouble (2001).
They were originally going to make Ben and Jerry's bagels, but the expenses were too high, so they made ice cream.

Why they might not be annoying:

They took a correspondents course to learn how to make ice cream, the course cost $5 (1976).
They have great names for their Ice Cream, like Chunky Monkey, Phish Food, Chubby Hubby, Vanilla Like it Ought to Be, From Russia with Buzz, Berry N'Ice, Cherry Garcia.
They donate 7½% of their pre-taxed earnings to their employees, grants and local events.
They were childhood friends, who remained friends through adulthood.
