    He ran for public office despite having no chance of winning.
    He protested with Green party candidate David Cobb for not being included in the 2004 presidential debates.
    He and David Cobb were arrested for crossing a police barricade.
    He believes that driver's licenses are unnecessary.
    He quit running for public office after the 2006 elections and started working for a bumper sticker company.

Why he might not be annoying:

    Although it was considered a long shot, he won his party's presidential nomination.
    He believes in individual freedom.
    He said: 'If i give you a 45 percent chance at lethal injection a 50 percent chance at the electric chair and a five percent chance for escape which are you going to vote for? The electric chair, because you're likely to win?'
    He was a volunteer worker for the Red Cross.
