Stuart Neale (1960- ) synth/keyboards

Recorded 'Too Shy'

Why they might be annoying:

They are a one hit wonder.
When Hamill joined in 1981 they wanted to change their band name, and chose Kajagoogoo from a tweaking of baby talk gibberish they were toying with; GagaGooGoo.
When Hamill joined he changed his name to the oh-so-cutesy Limahl, an anagram of his last name.
Just before they kicked off their 1983 U.S. tour Limahl had a major falling out with the band and was fired. Beggs took over as lead vocalist.
Because of this, their U.S. tour was 'less than successful.'
They shortened their name to Kaja in 1984, but further success was not forthcoming.
Stode quit in 1985, and by 1986 the remaining three members decided to give it up.

Why they might not be annoying:

Their early recordings were played regularly on the John Peel Show.
Nick Rhodes from synth/pop group Duran Duran produced their 'White Feathers' album that contained 'Too Shy.'
In 1983, 'Too Shy' was a international hit that reached #1 in the U.K. and #5 on the U.S. Billboard charts.
Two other songs from the 'White Feathers' album reached the Top 15 in the U.K.; 'Ooh to Be Ah' and 'Hang on Now.'
Limahl had a Top 4 hit in the U.S. singing the title track from Wolfgang Petersen's film 'The NeverEnding Story.'
