Why he might be annoying
He saw little playing time in New Jersey, who then decided to trade him instead of develop him in their system.
Despite being a mainstay on the Wild's defensive corps, he was traded to Dallas for basically little in return.
He is extremely injury prone.
He has been accused of playing with an illegally curved stick.
Why he might not be annoying
He is considered one of hockey's best shutdown defensemen.
He signed with the Canucks in order to play in front of his family.
He cracked a bone in his vertebrae and managed to play ten games in pain before being diagnosed.
He served as the Wild's team captain on several occasions as part of the team's rotating captaincy plan.
When Roberto Luongo's captaincy was limited, the team appointed him in charge of talking to on-ice officials during games.
