Why he might be annoying:

He is famed for being fired for his remark that the black is a better athlete (Martin Luther King's Day - January 15, 1988).
He got into a fist fight with Brent Mussburer for not giving him enough air time.
He was a bookie by trade.
He dropped out of high school in 10th grade.
Attorney General Bobby Kennedy fined him $50,000 for giving sports odds over the phone from Las Vegas.
He wrongly picked the Colts to beat the Jets in the 1969 Superbowl, setting the odds as Jets 17½ point underdogs.

Why he might not be annoying:

His uncle shot and killed his mother when he was ten.
His gambling violation was pardoned by President Gerald Ford.
Although he sincerely apologized for his remarks about blacks being better athletes, he was fired one day after the remark (January 16, 1988).
