Why she might be annoying:

She hated her duties as First Lady.
She only appeared publicly when her position as the president's wife obligated her to.
She did not stay in Washington D.C. for most of her husband's term.
She only held one press conference and it consisted of pre-written questions with pre-written responses.
Her reply to if she wanted her daughter to be president was 'most definitely not.'
She was eager to return to Missouri after her husband's term as president was over.

Why she might not be annoying:

She was a good athlete in her youth.
She greatly desired to live in privacy.
She did not use her position as the First Lady to push her own agenda.
The press initially hated her for her reluctance to answer their questions but eventually came to respect her.
She met Harry Truman when she was in fifth grade.
She eventually dated Truman, despite her mother's objections.
When she died at age 97, she was the oldest First Lady ever.
