Why they might be annoying:

They used to be known as Faith No Man because of former guitarist Mike 'The Man' Morris.
Before hiring Chuck Moseley as their first official singer, they gave Courtney Love, ex-girlfriend of bassist Billy Gould, an audition.
They're considered a one-hit wonder for their song 'Epic.'
Chuck Moseley was fired due to constant drinking, limited vocal capabilities and fights within the band. They ended up hiring Mr. Bungle singer Mike Patton, which eventually led to guitarist Jim Martin getting fired.
Before officially breaking up, drummer Mike Bordin joined Ozzy Osbourne's band, Mike Patton participated in several different projects, and Billy Gould started a band called Brujeria with Fear Factory members, leaving fans to wonder if they were broken up.
They officially had over 10 guitarists.
Patton opposed a Faith No More tribute album saying: 'Why ruin great songs with awful bands?'

Why they might not be annoying:

    They lasted for 15 years.
After their one hit, they continued being popular in Europe and Australia.
They are a major influence to most popular bands today, such as Korn, Papa Roach and Linkin Park.
Singer Mike Patton is fluent in English, Portuguese, Spanish, and Italian, prompting him to sing some songs in those different languages.
They released their song 'Evidence' in spanish for their South American fans.
They participated in one of the most influential soundtracks of all time, Judgment Night, an album that mixed rock bands with rap artists.
When covering songs, they would often make them sound completely different from the original.
Their last concert was in Portugal.
Mike Patton has done guest vocals for such bands as Sepultura, and Dillinger Escape Plan.
They received 7 BAMMIES (Bay Area Music Awards), 3 Grammy Nominations and 1 MTV VMA nomination.
