Football Player

The Resume

    (November 2, 1985- )
    Born in The Woodlands, Texas
    Wide receiver
Played college football for the Texas Tech Red Raiders
Played pro football for the St. Louis Rams (2009-12) and New England Patriots

Why he might be annoying:

He annoyed his neighbors by setting up a carport outside a house he was renting.
He was brought in as a replacement for the invaluable Wes Welker following his post-Super Bowl loss departure in 2012.
If anything, though, the more versatile (and equally photogenic) Julian Edelman ended up filling that void more successfully.
His time in Edelman's shadow was topped off when he finished the 2013 season behind Edelman in terms of overall passes, catches, and touchdowns.
He was granted the opportunity to prove himself during the 2015 season, when Edelman was out having foot surgery after a game against the Giants.
A video of him being tripped up by his own teammate on a punt return that would have ended in a touchdown during a game against the New York Giants went viral on social media (Nov. 2015).
He ultimately choked when his 'big moment' came with a 35–28 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. He was left home the following game day against the Miami Dolphins.
He was fined by the NFL for an illegal block on Kansas City Chiefs punt returner Jamell Fleming during the AFC Divisional playoff game (January 22, 2016).
His decreased value as an asset to the team was demonstrated when he happily accepted a huge pay-cut in order to remain with the Patriots (gullible fans spun this as a display of 'loyalty')

Why he might not be annoying:

He played in a Texas State Championship game in his senior year at Woodlands High.
He led the NFL in all-purpose yards in 2010 (at 2,364 yards).
He signed with the Patriots as an unrestricted free agent.
He dislocated his collar bone when reaching out to catch a pass; the injury turned out to be life-threatening when the bone nearly punctured his trachea (2012).
He raised money for the Boston Marathon Relief Fund by donating $100 for every play he made in the 2013 season.
He caught both Tom Brady's 50th and 400th touchdown pass (in 2013 and 2015, respectively).
He didn't make a fool out of himself opening his mouth during the fallout over Deflategate.
