He was often in Chicago nightclubs during his years with the Cubs.
He had a 9.00 career ERA.

Why he might not be annoying:

He had the most base hits and doubles in the 1990's.
He is still a favorite with Cubs fans.
Cubs fan were excited to see him finally win the World Series in 2001.
While the Diamondbacks were getting blown out by the Dodgers on September 2, 2002, he came in to relief pitch.
MLB.com considered his pitch the funniest moment of the 2002 season.
He has a good sense of humor.
He is left handed.
