Why he might be annoying
He demanded a trade every summer after the team's relocation to Winnipeg.
He was involved in an altercation with teammates that saw his track suit thrown into the team shower.
The altercation proved to be the final straw for the Jets as they traded him to Buffalo days later.
He sparked controversy during the 2012-13 lockout by posting a picture of him using a stack of cash as a cell phone in Las Vegas.
He made a homophobic slur about Chris Bosh on his Twitter page.
He allegedly made a dine and dash at a Winnipeg restaurant.
He took one last shot at Winnipeg in a Hockey News interview citing the team never had his back and tried playing the race card.
He was described as having a diva like attitude by his former teammates and coaches alike.
Why he might not be annoying
He is the first homegrown product from the city of Vancouver to be drafted in the first round since Paul Kariya.
He is the highest drafted black player in NHL history.
He was named after boxer Evander Holyfield.
Upon hearing about the Thrashers relocation to Winnipeg, he personally asked Bobby Hull for permission to wear #9, which the original franchise retired in his honor.
