He scored the winning goal in the final game of the 1951 Stanley Cup.
The Maple Leafs won the Stanley Cup in four out of the five seasons he played with them.
He went missing after going on a fishing trip in a light plane with his dentist.
After his death the Leafs did not win another Stanley Cup until his body was found 11 years later.
He is a hockey legend.
