Why she might be annoying:

She's a high school drop-out.
After a brutal Funny Car fire (not fun or funny), she dropped the nickname 'Cha Cha (1973).'
Speaking of another female driver she said: 'There is no room for bimboism in drag racing.'
She advertised English Leather cologne (1975).
She is still drag racing in her sixties, saying: 'It's because I'm a tough old broad.'
She said: 'I've been at this a long time, I've worked hard at it, I'm disappointed that it hasn't done anything to secure my future. I'm pretty sure that once I am out of the race car there will not be a place for me in this sport.'
She has her own website.
She showed jealousy saying: 'So and so with her tennis racquet just signed a $30 million deal with Reebok. I cringe when I read those numbers. What makes her any better than me? Those young college-graduate marketing gurus don't know squat. There's more to women in sports than the stemmed-glass set.'

Why she might not be annoying:

She pioneered females in car racing.
When she raced funny cars, she dressed in hot pants, go-go boots and a halter under her asbestos fire-suit
She nicknamed her funny car 'Bounty Huntress.'
Bonnie Bedelia starred as her in her biopic 'Heart Like A Wheel' (1983).
She crashed at 250 MPH when her tire failed (June 29, 1984)
She broke bones in all her fingers, broke her pelvis and mangled legs. She needed five surgeries to walk again. Eighteen months later she returned to racing.
