Why he might be annoying:

    He was a journeyman player.
    He opted to turn pro after being drafted by the Jets, that he missed out on being part of UND's championship team the following year.
    He failed to live up to the Jets expectations, which played a role in his release.
    He left the Blue Jackets mid-season, following the firing of Scott Arniel (2012).
    Some college hockey pundits felt he received the head coaching position as a result of his status as an alumnus of the hockey program.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He was considered a skilled defenseman by college hockey pundits.
    He was a member of the Canadian team that won a Gold Medal at the World Juniors (1983).
    He succeeded Dave Hakstol as the head coach of the UND hockey program and took it to greater heights.
    He is the first head coach in NCAA ice hockey to guide a team to a national championship in his first season at the helm.
