    Forward for the Red Army & Soviet Union Teams (1978-89) and Vancouver Canucks (1989-90)
    Member of the gold medal winning Soviet Union men's hockey team (1984, 88)

Why he might be annoying:

    His NHL career was a bust.
    He failed to live up to the hype he had upon joining the Canucks.
    He gained a lot of weight which earned him the nickname 'Vladimir Cruton' by Vancouver fans.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He was part of the 'KLM Line' which consisted of himself, Igor Larionov and Sergei Makarov.
    He played alongside Larionov in Vancouver during his lone NHL season.
    He was considered one of the best players to play hockey on the international level.
    Along with Larionov & Makarov, he was the first Russian star to play in the NHL.
    He was a member of eight gold, two silver and two bronze medal winning teams in Olympic and World Hockey Championship competitions combined.
