Why she might be annoying:

She endorsed 'necklacing' (placing a gasoline-soaked tire around a victim's chest and setting it on fire), declaring 'With our boxes of matches and our necklaces, we will liberate the country.'
She was convicted of ordering the kidnapping of 14-year-old informer James Seipi (1991).
She was convicted of 43 counts of fraud and 25 of theft for obtaining fraudulent loans for her employees (April 24, 2003).

Why she might not be annoying:

Shortly after her marriage, she was arrested for giving a fiery anti-apartheid speech, leading Nelson Mandela to proudly announce, 'I think I married trouble.'
She stood by her husband during three decades of imprisonment.
After the Soweto student riots (1976), she was imprisoned for five months and exiled to the remote town of Brantfort for seven years.
Appearing before the Truth and Reconciliation Committee she admitted about the Seipi incident, 'Things went horribly wrong.'
An appeals court overturned her theft convictions, with the judge concluding 'the crimes were not committed for personal gain.' (July 5, 2004)
