Why Fukuoka, Japan might be annoying:

    A group of samurai forced the city to settle with the name 'Fukuoka' as it was originally going to be named 'Hakata.'
    It has hot humid summers.

    It has seven museums, a zoo and a botanical garden.
    It used to be the finishing location of the Kyushu ekiden running race until 2013.
    It was chosen as one of the 10 'Most Dynamic Cities' by Newsweek (July 2006).
    Hakata dolls and Tonkotsu ramen were first made there.
    It has Japan's tallest seaside tower, the Fukuoka Tower.
    The Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks' home stadium, the Fukuoka PayPay Dome has a retractable roof.
    Notable people who were born here include J-pop singer Ayumi Hamasaki and actress Victoria Principal.
