Why he might be annoying:

He was nicknamed 'Mr. B.I.G.,' partly for his initials and partly for his penchant for making films about oversized creatures.
He usually created the illusion of extra-large critters through cheap rear-projection techniques that weren't very convincing.
He holds the dubious distinction of having eight of his films receive the MST3K treatment -- more than any other director.

Why he might not be annoying:

He said, ' I loved horror, sci-fi and action movies since childhood, and it became my lifelong ambition to make them.'
The producer ran off with the money from his first two films.
He received a lifetime achievment award from the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films (2011).
