Why Winnipeg Oarsmen might be annoying:

    They were nicknamed the Oarsmen, as a result of being affiliated with the rowing club.
    Their claim to fame is challenging the Ottawa Senators for the Stanley Cup and losing (1904).
    They were blown out 9-1 in the first game of the series.
    Their team's captain Billy Breen called it the dirtiest game he ever played in.
    They ceased operations when the WRC elected to focus solely on rowing.

Why Winnipeg Oarsmen might not be annoying:

    They were a rowing club team that took up hockey during the winter months.
    They were the second Winnipeg based club, after the Victorias to compete for the Stanley Cup.
    They captured the MHA championship in consecutive seasons (1903, 1904).
    They rebounded and were able to defeat Ottawa 6-2 in the second game of the challenge series.
    Joe Hall is the only member of the team to get inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame.
