U.S. Senator
    (November 13, 1964- )
    Born in Fairview Park, Ohio
Assistant Secretary of State for Economic, Energy and Business Affairs (2006-08)
    Attorney General of Alaska (2009-10)
Commissioner of the Alaska Department of Natural Resources (2010-13)
US Senator from Alaska (assumed office January 3, 2015)
In 2016, he justified the Senate refusing to hold confirmation hearings for Merrick Garland because the nomination had been made 'in the middle of an important national election.'; four years later, he joined the rush to confirm Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court less than a month before the election.
He encourage the Trump administration to open the Tongass National Forest to logging and development.
He violated CDC guidelines during the COVID-19 epidemic by not wearing a mask while addressing the Senate (November 17, 2020).
After Sherrod Brown request that he put a mask on, he responded that he would not take instructions from a 'far-left Senator.'
He served in the Marine Corps, including a six-week tour in Afghanistan (2013).
The year before he ran for Senate, he scored a perfect 300 on the Marine combat fitness test.
During the 2016 election, he withdrew his endorsement of Donald Trump after the tape with Trump's 'grab them by the pussy' comment surfaced.
He was a cosponsor of the STATES Act to exempt people and companies that comply with state cannabis laws from being prosecuted under federal drug laws (2018).
Ted Cruz later called Brown an 'ass' for his mask request, so, in comparative terms, Sullivan looked almost civilized.
