Why he might be annoying:

He lists Wiffle Ball (a hollow plastic ball with large holes) as one of his favorite playing sports.
Perhaps not surprisingly, he is into spiritual music and literature.
He lists oatmeal raisin as one of his favorite cookies.
Instead of attempting to make fire on 'Survivor,' he encouraged the other Viveros (tribe of younger men) to join him in a hands-on-hands ritual.
He referred to his alliance of younger contestants (Danielle, Shane, and Courtney) as ‘nutballs' (hypocrisy in action).
He managed to talk Shane out of quitting the game.
He was less than thrilled to receive only a hug from his mother after failing a reward challenge.

Why he might not be annoying:

It took him three years to complete his undergraduate program.
After a brief stint as a pro basketball player in Lithuania (where he claims dual citizenship), he opened a donation-based yoga studio in Cape Town, South Africa.
He lists Norah Jones as a favorite recording artist and fresh-squeezed orange juice as his favorite beverage.
He earned a degree in philosophy at UC Irvine.
He was the first Survivor in the schoolyard pick 'em to choose a player specifically by name (Cirie), although not quite by pronunciation.
He was the only member of the Casaya not to take part in the cheeseburger feast offered during an immunity challenge.
His repeated trips to Exile Island allowed him to deduce who had the ‘hidden' idol (Terry).
