The Resume

    (September 1, 2003- )
Among the most successful entries on the Food Network
    Hosted by Giada di Laurentiis
Premise: Giada serves up contemporary versions of the classic Italian recipes that were part of her formative years

Why Everyday Italian might be annoying:

Instead of a traditional cooking show set, it uses a series of rented homes over a period of about two months.
She doesn't always wear an apron or pull back her hair while preparing the dishes.
Not all finished products go over well with her. For instance, her reaction to a cup of cranberry sorbet was nicknamed ‘the Great Giada Disaster.'
It received the ‘food porn' label.

Why Everyday Italian might not be annoying:

Rather than refer to an item by a hip slang term or weird acronym, Giada will call it simply what it is (olive oil instead of E-V-O-O).
The layouts of the kitchen, which vary between seasons, tend to be easy on the eyes.
Friends and family are often seen helping to prepare and share in the finished meal.
Giada's movie-goddess looks certainly didn't harm the show's case, either.
The Great Giada Disaster proved that even she isn't immune to goofs.
