Why they might be annoying:

They are remembered for one song.
They became a mainstay on the oldies circuit.
Their website only consists of photos, some tour dates and a note that their music is on Amazon and iTunes.
'In The Still of the Night,' despite its legacy, only reached number 24 on the Billboard charts upon its initial release.

Why they might not be annoying:

With it's 'doo wop' refrain, 'In the Still of the Night' is considered as one song that coined the term 'doo wop' to that genre of music.
'In the Still of the Night' ranked 90th in Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Songs of All Time (2004, 2010).
It also topped every Thanksgiving weekend all-time top songs countdown on oldies station WCBS-FM in New York City from 1973 until they de-emphasized early rock and roll.
The song has been covered by such artists as Boyz II Men, The Beach Boys and Debbie Gibson, was featured on the soundtrack for 'Dirty Dancing' and was heard being sung by Al Bundy and Griff on ' Married... with Children.'
They made it to the Vocal Group Hall of Fame (2003).
