Hockey Player

The Resume

Why he might be annoying:

He initially wanted to wear #57 with the Bruins, as a result of his surname being the same as on the ketchup bottles.
His request was denied by Bruins general manager Harry Sinden, who felt the combination would be viewed as being an advertising gimmick.
He played for three different teams in the 2001 calendar year.
Despite being a Boston area native and a mainstay in the Bruins lineup, he was left unprotected in the 2000 NHL Expansion Draft.
He spent the majority of the final season of his career with the Kings farm affiliate in Manchester.

Why he might not be annoying:

He earned All-Rookie team honors and First All-Star team honors while playing at Boston College.
He was a member of the U.S. Olympic team at the Albertville Olympics (1992).
He was a member of the inaugural Columbus Blue Jackets roster (2000-01).
He got to wear #57 for the Blue Jackets, which he would wear for the remainder of his playing career.
He took great pride in being able to play for his hometown Bruins, and considers that the highlight of his career.
