He was named after Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
Original Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony was bumped from the band to make room for him.
Anthony commented, 'I'm a little miffed that they're calling it a Van Halen reunion. If I was dead and they needed someone to play, that's one thing, but to me this is not a reunion.'
He is pudgy.

He plays guitar, drums and keyboard in addition to bass.
Michael Anthony said, 'Don't judge Wolfgang too hard, because he's the innocent guy in this whole thing.'
During an appearance on Howard Stern, Eddie said of Wolfgang 'He's only 15 years old and he's getting laid. He's spanking it, too.' (Thanks, Dad!)
