    Defenseman for the Boston Bruins (1988-2003) and the Dallas Stars (2003-2004)
    General manager of the Boston Bruins
    Color commentator for the New England Sports Network (2005-2006)
    Assistant general manager for the Boston Bruins (2010-2015)

Why he might be annoying:

    He was overshadowed by Ray Bourque for most of his career.
    Some hockey pundits went as far as saying he had 'the best career you never heard anything about.'
    Rather then retire as a Bruin, he spent his final NHL season in Dallas.
    He angered many Bruin fans by trading Dougie Hamilton to Calgary, in his first move as the team's GM.
    Despite his accolades during his career, he never played in the NHL All-Star Game.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He earned first All-Star team honors, while playing at Harvard.
    He ranks among the top ten players in many of the Bruins statistical categories.
    He is married to former Canadian Olympic figure skater Christine Hough.
    He served as an alternate captain for the majority of his tenure with the Bruins.
    He worked as an assistant Dean of Admissions at Phillips Academy and worked as a broadcaster in the first couple seasons following his retirement from active play.
