The Resume

    (November 28, 1969- )
    Born in San Pedro, California
Relief pitcher for the Texas Rangers (1993), Florida Marlins (1993-97) and the San Francisco Giants (1998-2002)
    World Series champion (1997)
Career record of 45 wins, 42 losses and 314 saves

Why he might be annoying:

He had two B's in his first name.
He had an unorthodox pitching stance that saw him tap his toe on the ground before releasing the ball.
He never got the recognition he deserved in his prime as a result of playing for an obscure Marlins team.
He was traded by the Marlins in a fire sale move weeks after their World Series victory, which saw the team receiving little to nothing in return for him.
His tenure in San Francisco was overshadowed by the fact he gave up the go-ahead double to Troy Glaus in Game 6 of the 2002 World Series.
His career ended after he suffered a rotator cuff injury, which he aggravated during the 2002 playoffs, which would cost him both the 2003 and 2004 seasons as a result.

Why he might not be annoying:

He is the son of former major league player Dick Nen.
He established himself as a reliable closer upon being traded to the Marlins.
He was a member of the first Marlins World Series championship team (1997).
He converted seven saves in eight opportunities during the 2002 postseason, which set a major league record.
He proved to be a significant upgrade over Rod Beck in the closer role for San Francisco.
His pitching style made him a fan favorite in both Florida and San Francisco.
