She was originally a country singer.
She wore a very short platinum blonde hair cut.
She had one hit song.
One club owner was such a fan that he requested the song be played at his funeral.

Why she might not be annoying:

'I Love the Nightlife' charted all over again in 1994 when a remix was included on the 'Priscilla, Queen of the Desert' soundtrack.
After her singing career faded, she became a DJ.
Alicia was so proud of her hometown Atlanta that she included the skyline on the cover of her album.
