Why he might be annoying:

He has been confused with two other NBA players with similar names: Jason 'White Chocolate' Williams and former Duke standout Jason 'Jay' Williams.
His career was hampered by injuries. A broken leg finally forced him to retire.
He was giving friends and members of the Harlem Globetrotters a tour of his mansion.
When he went to his bedroom, he took out a loaded shotgun and cracked it open.
After yelling an obscenity at Gus Christofi, his limo driver, he snapped the weapon closed, causing it to go off and sending 12 pellets into Christofi's chest.
Christofi died within minutes.
Williams then tried to make it appear like it was a suicide, as he wiped down the shotgun and placed it in Christofi's hands (February 14, 2002).
He was suspended from his job as a NBA analyst after the shooting.
After losing a bet concerning his pit bull, he took it outside and shot it.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was the first Ja(y)son Williams to make it big in the NBA.
Before his premature retirement, he was among the league leaders in rebounds.
Before the shooting incident, he was considered one of the classiest guys in the NBA.
He is bi-racial: his mom is Italian-Polish and his dad is African-American.
