He killed his father to dethrone him.
He killed all of his brothers and nephews so he would become Sultan.
He killed all of his kids except for the one he wanted to become Sultan after he died.
His cruel ways earned him the nickname 'Selim the Grim.'
He was a missionary, who killed anyone who wouldn't convert to Islam.

He was one of the greatest leaders of the Ottoman Empire.
He extended the Ottoman's power to the holy cities of Medina and Mecca.
He captured Egypt for the Ottomans.
He was an established poet.
He died of a skin-infection, caused by anthrax.
He was named a Caliph (successor to Muhammad).
