    Born in Repentigny, Quebec, Canada
Drafted 55th overall by the Buffalo Sabres in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft
Forward for the Buffalo Sabres (2004-13) and the Minnesota Wild
He was initially placed on waivers upon making his debut with the Sabres.

He was born to a Canadian father and an American mother, who met and settled in the Montreal area at the time of his birth.
He defied the odds and made the Sabres roster full-time in his second season with the team.
He scored the first ever shorthanded overtime clinching goal in an elimination game (2006).
He played in 335 consecutive games, prior to having his streak ended by a concussion.
He was a point-per-game player during the 2007-08 season, recording 80 points in 82 games.
